DreamCricket – Bringing the Joy of Sport to All Children
What is DreamCricket?
DreamCricket is an inspiring initiative proudly supported by Rotary Clubs in the Bowral area. It provides children with physical and intellectual disabilities the opportunity to experience the joy and excitement of playing cricket in a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment.

A Program with Heart
The program began as a collaboration between Rotary, The Movement Disorder Foundation, and the Bradman Foundation, and has grown into a much-loved activity in schools across Australia. In the Southern Highlands, Bowral Mittagong Rotary, in partnership with local schools and community organisations, helps deliver DreamCricket Days for students who might otherwise be excluded from mainstream sports.
How It Works
DreamCricket Days are hosted at schools or community venues such as Bradman Oval. Specialised equipment and modified cricket activities allow all children to participate, regardless of their level of ability. Trained volunteers from Rotary Clubs and the cricketing community guide the children through the activities, focusing on fun, teamwork, and confidence-building.

More Than Just a Game
For many children, DreamCricket is more than a day of sport—it’s a chance to feel included, supported, and celebrated. Parents and teachers often remark on the smiles, laughter, and lasting impact the experience has on the students’ well-being and self-esteem.

Community Impact
DreamCricket is a wonderful example of Rotary’s commitment to service above self. It brings together schools, volunteers, and sporting organisations to create a unique and uplifting experience that benefits the whole community.
Get Involved
Whether you’re a teacher, parent, Rotarian, or simply someone who wants to help, there are many ways to support DreamCricket. Rotary Clubs in Bowral and surrounding areas are always looking for volunteers and supporters to help bring the magic of cricket to more children.
